| Buffalo is known as a wellspring of architectural
beauty. It is home to a house by Frank LLoyd Wright and
as well as other buildings by famous architects I'd never
heard of and can't recall. Unlike most American cities,
Buffalo is not characterized by one dominant style of
building. Whereever your eyes alight, you will likely
see something new. |

One of the most striking
modern buildings I have seen is the Electric
Tower.
It is an elegant and graceful
building from the golden age of American skyscrapers. |

and a great variety of normal houses
as well.
As I walked around the residential areas near downtown
I was struck by the great variety of styles of houses.
Even where one style repeated, the houses were often
decorated so differently that there was still a lot
to look at.

| Buffalo's real wealth lies in its churces
which it has scores of. I only show you 4 of them,
but there are many more, some are quite striking. |

These were two of
my favorites, the Gothic spike of death and the noble
Orthodox domes. |
