Dexter and Melissa

Part One: Room 720

Located on the seventh floor all the way in the back corner, room 720 was my favorite room. It got a fair amount of fresh air and was laid out rather nicely with shelves and a good sized closet.

After moving all of my crap into my room and heading out to explore, I was on the way back up and in the lift I met a really pretty blonde girl named Melissa. We started talking and we both got off on the 7th floor.

As we started down the hall, I noticed that we seemed to be going the same way, and judging by the nervous looks she was casting my way, she had also noticed.

So to relieve any stress she might be having about the strange man following her I volunteered that I was going to room 720 and asked her which room she was in. And LO and BEHOLD she was also going to room 720! So I rushed ahead to make sure it was my key that opened the door ( just so she knew I was telling the truth).

That was how I met Melissa and Dustin. They were scheduled to change rooms the next day, but I asked them to try and stay in 720 and they did. We were roomies for three days.

Dustin, Melissa, and Java Kidwalker

My very fond memory of Melissa was from day two in the morning when Dustin went off to the showers leaving me alone with the beautiful blonde from Maryland...

You see, Dustin took all the toiletries to the showers, leaving Melissa sans toothpaste. Melissa didn't want to ask me if she could use mine, so instead she informed me that she was going to use mine.

That made me smile, because I knew she would not have done that unless she was very comfortable with me.

My fondest memories of London are of hanging out with Maryland in room 720.

Hi Melissa! Hi Dustin! (get a job ya lousy beach bum!) Hey did you guys notice that MD not only stands for Maryland, but it can also stand for Melissa and Dustin? Coincidence? I think so.

But then they left!

That was when the Germans invaded. I got five all at once. Fortunately I speak some German. That however did not deter them one bit. They were always very considerate and except for a few comments (most of which I understood) they always spoke English when I was in the room, even when the conversation did not involve me.

Jessica the Terrible ;^) was the nicest of all my roomies, and has promised to send me some German music. I should probably send her my address.

Grüss Gott Jessica!
