Gittin to the Piccadilly Backpacker's Hotel

From the Underground:

Take the Piccadilly Line to Piccadilly Circus. Then take
the stairs up to Piccadilly Circus. |
You should see something that looks

If you don't, get back on the plane and this time get
off at London, ENGLAND... |

From Piccadilly Circus:

| Upon exiting the Underground take a good look
around. Note the big statue and the big red buses. Note Westminster
Abbey
in the distance. Note also the Burger King with the big bright
display. Now that you have taken in the first sights, you
must learn to cross a London street in relative
safety.
You cannot find the hotel if you
have just been smashed to death by a car. Before proceeding
into the streets,
stop at the edge of the sidewalk. Look neither right nor
left until you have looked down towards your feet. Note
the instructions painted on the street: “Look Right” or “Look
Left”. Follow these instructions. They may save your
sorry tourist ass from becoming roadkill.

| Now recall the location of the Burger King.
Proceed in that direction. Stand right in front of and facing
Burger King. Now turn towards your left and proceed to the
first
street. This is Sherwood Street. Turn Right. |

Pause a moment and look behind
you.
You should see this ~~~~>
If you see this behind you, you are going
the right way. Go forward again. |
|
| You will shortly cross another street and keep
on straight. Note that up ahead there is a building protruding
over the sidewalk. Right where that protrusion begins is
the entrance to the hotel. Turn right into the hotel. The
doorman will help you with the rest. Remember to ask for
George. George is cool. |
