First I want to say that one of the most
interesting things about London was that I heard almost
as much German
as English. In fact, as a rule, it’s actually easier
to talk to a German in English, than it is to talk to a Briton
in English. Go figur.
That being said, we can get on with the true subject at
hand. How does one get around London without going broke?
Hooliator walked. Hooliator walked everywhere.
Hooliator walked from Piccadilly all the way to Paddington
Station
with a
suitcase
that weighed
100 lbs. Normal people would probably use the public transportation.
There are basically two ways to get around on public transport.
The Tube, aka the London Underground, aka the subway, OR
the big red buses.
The Tube is really fast and really
expensive. It’s
2 limeybucks one way; or 5 limeybucks for a day. And that’s
just in central London. As soon as you hit Zone 2 the price
goes way up. The bus on the other hand is nice and cheap:
only 2.30 limeybucks for the whoooole day. And did I mention
all the great scenery that’s included in the price?
