Jumbo’s is the recipient
of the much coveted Hooliator Award.
Jumbo’s saved my life and my money. It’s
just around the corner ( 1 minute on foot) from the
hotel.
For 3.60 limeybucks you get a fat
(phat?) sandwhich. It’s almost a foot long
made from tasty bread, fresh veggies, houmous, and
get this, real roasted chicken. I usually ate half
and saved the other half for later. Each half quite
filled me up.
The shop is owned and operated
by a young italian man with a winning smile, and
a genuine love for what he does. Note the bottle
of French Côte du Rhône wine on the
shelf. That was from me. Point it out to him, and
tell him that the guy who gave him that wine sent
you. It won’t get you a discount, but it
will let him know that his good deed is reaping
a reward.
